DESCRIPTION:Art House 310 First Friday – Ellen Mosiman & Dustin Youngman\nOpening Reception | First Friday February 2nd\, 2024 | 6-10pm\nThis event is free to attend and open to the public. Show hangs through February 18th\, 2024. \nArt House 310 is located at 310 S. Laura. Two blocks SE of Douglas & Washington in downtown Wichita. \nELLEN MOSIMAN \nHaving gained a reputation in elementary school as “the girl who draws cats” I realized I’d found my niche and never looked back. \nI grew up on a farm surrounded by animals and nature\, and because of this I’ve naturally gravitated towards those subject matters when I sit down at the computer to draw. My goal is to make work that is fun\, full of color\, and whimsical; something that my childhood self would really get a kick out of\, and hope that they make the viewer smile as well. \nSee more of Ellen’s work on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ellenmosiman \nDUSTIN YOUNGMAN \nGrowing up in Kansas\, I always wanted to be a cowboy. The freedom\, the daring\, and the toughness of a cowboy always called to me whenever I wanted to imagine a game to play with myself. For this show I wanted to showcase cowboys in a medium that a true cowboy would enjoy at a saloon – a deck of playing cards.
