ABOUT ART HOUSE 310

Art House 310 is a dream in the making! Art House 310 is a space for visual artists. Our mission is to help expand the arts in Wichita and be a resource for all artists alike.

Our vision for Art House 310 is to help artists, both emerging and seasoned, have a place to exhibit and sell their work. This vision is rooted from our own experiences navigating the art world. We welcome new and emerging artists! We want to be a welcoming face for those artists who are just starting their exhibition career as well as those seasoned artists who wish to exhibit at a gallery who encourages art marketing and sales. We strive to be a resource for information on exhibition best practices, event marketing, post opening marketing and sales.

Our ideal artists:

• Are local artists! Some of the best talent is right in our back yard!
• Are eager to sell their artwork to viewers and collectors.
• Conduct themselves professionally and timely in business practices.
• Understand the most successful exhibitions are the ones where the artist and the gallery work equally as hard in promotion.
• Are actively engaged on social media to aid in the promotion, marketing and sales of their work, both before and during the exhibition.
• Are willing to reach out to their own collectors, family, friends and mailing lists to promote their exhibition.
• Are excited to tell the story of their practice to viewers and collectors at an opening and closing reception.
• Have an online presence for their work with business cards or other materials as a take-away for viewers and collectors.
• Are willing to abide by Art House 310’s Artist Professional Guidelines.
• Are prepared with a number of quality works in order to hold an artwork exhibition. (minimum of 20-30 pieces)
• Understand that not all artwork is a good fit for Art House 310. Keep making art!
• Understand that artwork is FUN work!

Owned and operated by Angie & Rhett Evans, Art House 310 is a (likely never-ending) work in progress to become a space for art exhibitions, workshops, group shows and eventually the ability to offer private rentable art studios.

We believe in Wichita. We believe in art. We believe some of the best talent is right in our back yard!

We decided to buy-in to this life … literally. We sold our home, rented a loft in Old Town and used our own private investment to start building this dream. After what felt like an eternity of looking for a location, including 3 other property deals that weren’t meant to be … Art House 310 finally has a home! We chose a location just off the beaten path to hopefully be a part of further growth in our downtown area. Our necessities included: space (but not too much), a close to downtown proximity, an inviting street presence, and a blank exterior wall space for murals to help drive traffic to this “off the beaten path” area. What looks like a plain, old little warehouse to some, looked like a future to us!

We are so excited to see how Art House 310 will evolve!
