Art House 310 Celebrates This Weekend With Their Grand Opening
Wichita’s newest visual art center, located in the Douglas Design District, opens to the public this Saturday.

What: Art House 310, Wichita’s newest locally-owned visual art center, is holding a Grand Opening and Open House on Saturday, June 27 at 6:00 PM. This will be the public’s first look inside the facility that serves as the future home to artwork exhibitions, workshops, resident artist studios, and more. Owner and local Wichita artist, Angie Evans, will also be holding an art show and super sale during the event.

Information: Owners, Angie Evans and Rhett Evans describe Art House 310 as a dream in the making. Art House 310 is a space for visual artists with a mission to help expand the arts in Wichita. Purchased in 2019, the once old warehouse has been completely renovated to become a space for art exhibitions, workshops, group shows and, in the future, private rentable resident artist studios.
“We decided to buy into this life… literally,” said Angie Evans, Owner of Art House 310 and local Wichita artist.” We sold our family home, rented a loft in Old Town and after three other property deals fell through, we found the perfect place. What may have looked like a plain, old warehouse to most looked like a future for us.”
Located in the heart of Wichita at 310 S. Laura in the Douglas Design District, Art House 310 is already home to one of the Avenue Art Days Murals by local artist, Geli Chavez. The Evans’ hope to continue promoting local arts with the addition of several more murals in the coming years.
“We believe in Wichita. We believe in art, and we believe some of the best talent is right in our back yard” said Angie Evans.
The Grand Opening and Open House of Art House 310 will be on Saturday June 27, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This come-and-go event is open to the public and will feature the “2020 Art Super Sale” featuring work, by Angie Evans at a deep discount. A Preview Party for the sale will occur on Friday June 26 at 7:00 p.m. All guests are encouraged to wear masks and participate is safe social distancing practices while in attendance.
