Good Day Kansas – Art House 310 Community Art Box
Owner and Resident Artist, Angie Evans, got to spend some time with Good Day Kansas hosts Jillian Carroll and Josh Silverman talking about the newly installed Community Art Box located at their Douglas Design District gallery location.
COMMUNITY ART BOX AT ART HOUSE 310
We have worked to plan, construct, install and provide the initial stock for a community art supply box!
WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY ART BOX?
This outdoor community art box will be located at Art House 310 and will be free and open to the community! Our close to downtown gallery provides a central location for those needing supplies. Using a “take what you need, leave what you can” model, we hope this community art box will be utilized by anyone of all ages and all skill levels in Wichita!
WHERE IS THE COMMUNITY ART BOX?
The community art box is located at Art House 310, which is at 310 S. Laura, Wichita, KS 67211. We are two blocks SE of Douglas and Washington in downtown Wichita.
HOW CAN I HELP?
We will do a call for donations of new, unopened art supplies a couple times throughout the year. You can donate at anytime by contacting Angie at info@arthouse310.com.

Angie Evans Owner and Resident Artist at Art House 310 is passionate about bringing art to our community. Opening the Art House was her first contribution, providing a space where artists can showcase their work and for the public to come in and enjoy their art. She will be offering art workshops as soon as it is safe to do so and she is always up for helping anyone in need, particularly if they are interested in art.
Personally Angie’s work was showcased on our show about a year ago when the Mini Keeper of The Plains she painted was permanently placed at the Stryker Sports Complex for young athletes and community members to enjoy. Now she is welcoming in anyone and everyone who is interested in engaging in art to swing by the Art House and get to work!
Angie and her husband built the Community Art Box, a box housed outside of the Art House 310; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The message is to come by, take what you need and leave what you can, in the spirit of collectively participating in creating art. Currently, the box is full of donated art items, so stop by and start creating! If you do have donations of new, unopened art supplies, please reach out to Angie, she would love to coordinate a drop off and personally thank you for your help.
Check out the Art House 310 on Facebook and if you can stop by and create some art. Post it on Facebook and tag us, we would love to see it!
